We at ACLW mourn and grieve the tragic loss of Sue Salthouse, Sue was an Ambassador of ACLW from 2016 onwards.
Sue was a strong leader, feminist, champion & change agent in the disability movement. She was a remarkable Ambassador of ACLW, advocating for marginalised women. Sue was relentlessly passionate, committed and incredibly innovative in her thinking for how to breakthrough barriers..
Sue was co-chair of the ACT Disability Expert Panel advising on the National Disability Insurance Scheme, influenced the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and between 2009-2012 was president of Women with Disabilities Australia.
Our thoughts are with Sue’s family and friends and the many organisations she contributed to including Women with Disabilities Australia, WAVE, National Foundation of Australian Women and the Equality Rights Alliance.
