Factors influencing women’s vote in the 2010 Federal Election

In light of the upcoming Federal Election, a research report has been published based on ACLW’s study to help inform how women intended to vote in the 2010 Federal Election on 21 August 2010 and the factors which were influencing their vote. 119 women participated in the online survey from a selective sample of 600 women.

The survey was conducted from 5 August 2010 to 11 August 2010. The findings indicated women’s first and later preference votes, the factors which are influencing their votes and their views on whether the media coverage of Julia Gillard is fair on gender grounds or biased as a woman.
